Once Called “ Men are back” is now on the road to Extinction for Ever – Maruti Stops Production of Maruti SX4 coming up with New Car –Maruti CIAZ.

After Struggling in the mid size car segment for 7 years and Maruti Suzuki biggest Advertising Spend – “Men are Back”  is now on the verge of the end , as India’s Biggest Car Manufacturer by Volumes has Stopped the Production of Maruti SX4.

Maruti which started the production of Maruti SX4 in 2007, and then re-launched SX4 in 2012 failed to impress the buyers. After initial pick up in sales with the launch, the brand faced competition from the International Players like HONDA & HYUNDAI and after running a life cycle of 7 years is now going to be extinct.

Maruti SX4 which has offered three variants of Fuel  i.e. Petrol, Diesel and CNG till now. Maruti Suzuki SX4 Petrol and CNG variant has 1.6 Litre Engine Capacity 16V DOHC, VVT Engine, while the Diesel variant come with 1.3 Litre capacity 16V DOHC, DDIS Engine.

Good News for Car Lovers is that Maruti is going to Launch a New Car – CIAZ in the Third Quarter of this year. At the time when the Navratras gear up the sales of New Cars. Maruti would be prepared with their New Offering to Indian Market.

Maruti CIAZ a Sedan is likely to be launched in the month of September 2014. With its sleeky look and Sporty Features, the offer would be in the form of 1.4 Litre K-Series Petrol Powered Engine. The same engine is being used by Ertiga. However the Diesel Engine is sourced from FIAT with DDIS Engine Capacity of 1.3 Litres. To bring more power a 1.6 litre Diesel Engine is in pipeline for next stage of launch. To keep the Tradition of All three fuels available in Indian Market, CIAZ would also be launched with a CNG variant.

Maruti CIAZ is going to face stiff competition from Honda City and Hyundai Verna. The Sedan is going to position Maruti in the Mid-Sized Car Segment.
