Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has expanded its electric mobility portfolio with the introduction of the Honda QC3 Electric Scooter. Positioned above the QC1 in the company’s electric scooter lineup, the QC3 is designed as a premium family-oriented electric scooter that focuses on practicality, longer riding range, connected technology and everyday usability.
Unlike Honda’s earlier electric offerings, the QC3 has been developed specifically to meet the needs of Indian commuters. It combines a larger 3 kWh battery pack, claimed IDC riding range of up to 145 km, premium TFT instrumentation and Honda RoadSync connectivity in a package aimed at competing with popular electric scooters like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Ather Rizta.

Honda QC3 Electric Scooter Design
The Honda QC3 adopts a clean and practical design philosophy instead of an aggressive sporty appearance. The front apron integrates LED lighting while the wide body panels give the scooter a premium family-oriented look. Honda has clearly prioritised comfort and practicality over flashy styling, making the QC3 suitable for office commuters, college students and family riders alike.
The upright riding position, spacious floorboard and comfortable seat are expected to provide a relaxed riding experience during everyday city commutes. Honda has also increased the under-seat storage capacity to 32 litres, allowing riders to carry helmets, shopping bags or daily essentials without difficulty.

Battery, Range & Charging
The biggest highlight of the Honda QC3 is its larger 3 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery pack. Compared to the QC1, the new battery significantly improves the scooter’s claimed riding range, making it more suitable for daily commuting as well as occasional longer rides.
Honda claims an IDC-certified riding range of up to 145 km on a single charge. While real-world range will vary depending on riding style, traffic conditions, payload and weather, the QC3 promises to reduce range anxiety for most urban users.
Charging performance has also improved considerably. Using Honda’s charging system, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, while a complete charge takes around 4 hours. This makes overnight home charging practical for everyday users and minimizes downtime between rides.
